“You’re getting too skinny.”
I’ve heard that a few times lately—from people I love. And it’s usually said with a tone that feels less like concern and more like criticism. It’s interesting how, when you start making positive changes in your health, some people feel uncomfortable with your progress.
Let’s be real—if I were gaining weight and getting more unhealthy, most people wouldn’t say a thing. But losing weight, getting stronger, and making healthier choices? That somehow opens the door for unsolicited comments.
This isn’t about being “skinny.” It’s about being healthy. About feeling better in my own skin. About showing up for myself every day. The effort, discipline, and mindset it takes to create real change isn’t easy—and it deserves respect, not shame.
If you’ve ever been on the receiving end of “fit shaming,” just know: your progress isn’t the problem. Their discomfort isn’t yours to carry.
Keep showing up for yourself. Keep growing. And let your results speak louder than their opinions.
